PYEONGCHANG /South Korea/, March 18. /TASS/. The President of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Andrew Parsons declared closed the XII Paralympic winter games 2018. The closing ceremony was held at the Olympic stadium in Pyeongchang.

During the ceremony have become well-known winners of this award named after Dr. Hwang Yun Dai, awarded to the two athletes (male and female) at the end of every Paralympic games since 1988. Winners of the award are athletes who most fully embody the spirit of the Games and Paralympic values. The medal standings of the Paralympics

Paralympic games were held from March 9. Athletes played 80 sets of medals in biathlon, skiing, Alpine skiing, snowboarding, sledge hockey and wheelchair Curling. All the Games were attended by 567 athletes from 49 countries.

Russian athletes under a neutral flag, and neutral status of Paralympic athletes won 24 medals, including eight gold, ten silver and six bronze, and took second place in the unofficial medal standings.
