PARIS, September 26. /Offset. TASS Artem Kuznetsov/. The number of violations of doping rules by Russian athletes made up less than one percent of the total number selected in 2016 samples. This was during the sixth session of the conference of parties to the International Convention against doping in sport was announced by the Minister of sports of Russia Pavel Kolobkov.

The Minister noted that after a series of doping scandals Russian sport faced the problem of loss of confidence, so the protection of the rights of clean athletes is one of the main goals of the Department .

“Over the last two years, the testing of Russian athletes was carried out by foreign anti-doping organizations. International sports federations have established additional requirements for the number of doping tests, needed by Russian athletes to participate in international competitions. Our Federation contract, there is a test,” said Kolobkov, speaking at the headquarters of UNESCO in Paris.

“And I want to draw your attention that, according to RUSADA, in 2016, the number of violations of doping rules by Russian athletes made up less than one percent of the total number of samples”, he added.
