MOSCOW, 3 Oct. /TASS/. Ensuring the economic efficiency of the stadiums of the world Cup in 2018 after the completion of the tournament is one of the most important tasks. This was stated by the Minister of sports of Russia Pavel Kolobkov at a joint meeting of the Council under RF President on development of physical culture and sports and the Supervisory Board of the organizing Committee “Russia-2018”, dedicated to the outcome in Russia of the FIFA confederations Cup and the preparations for the world Cup.

Sports Minister recalled that in pursuance of an order of the President of the Russian Federation was developed and approved the concept of the legacy of the world Cup for the use of sports facilities. “The main task after the tournament is ensuring the economic efficiency of the stadiums on the basis of their year-round multipurpose use,” said Kolobok .

“Also, we have investigated the question about the future use of training venues, identified children and youth sports school, which will be based on the data object. Currently, given the gradual formation of the “economy” of the stadiums, it is necessary to update the previously approved Concept of heritage,” reported the Minister of sport.

According to Kolobkov, it is advisable to provide, starting in 2019, the budget allocations from the Federal budget to Finance the operating costs of the stadiums in Volgograd, Rostov-on-don, Saransk, Samara, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod and Yekaterinburg.

World Cup matches will be held from 14 June to 15 July in Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Kazan, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-don, Saransk, Sochi, Kaliningrad, Volgograd and Yekaterinburg.
