ASTANA, October 6. /TASS/. The Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov will make on Friday an official visit to Kazakhstan. The trip is timed to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (celebrated on 22 October).

The agenda of negotiations with foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Kayrat Abdrakhmanov by the implementation of the reached agreements and international and regional issues.

Relations as a factor of stability in the region

According to Moscow, the Russian-Kazakh strategic partnership has established itself as a powerful factor of integration development in the Eurasian region and plays a significant role in ensuring stability in Central Asia.

Common tasks

Priority will be given to the implementation of the key agreements between the presidents of Russia and Kazakhstan Vladimir Putin and Nursultan Nazarbayev in the first place, the topics scheduled for the fall of the XIV interregional cooperation Forum in Chelyabinsk, with the participation of heads of state.

The Ministers will consider and the General tasks in the international arena in the context of the election of Kazakhstan as non-permanent member of the UN security Council for 2017-2018.

In addition, will be affected by the joint work in the framework of the Eurasian economic Union. “The new face of this work becomes the digitalization of the economies of the Union, to improve the competitiveness of Russia and Kazakhstan in modern world”, – noted in the foreign Ministry.

The parties will also discuss coordination in the CSTO, CIS, SCO, UN, OSCE. In the negotiations we will talk about the settlement status of the Caspian sea by signing the relevant Convention, the sides hope to reach the homestretch in the preparation of the document.

The foreign Ministers will also discuss the situation in Syria and Iraq, where terrorists “suffered significant damage, forcing them to seek refuge on the outskirts of our [Central Asian] region”, – said the Russian foreign Ministry.
