MOSCOW, April 20. /TASS/. The head of “NOVATEK” Leonid Mikhelson has once again topped an annual ranking of 200 richest businessmen of Russia according to Forbes magazine. Its condition the magazine has estimated at $18.4 billion

In the top 5 of the rating also includes the owner “Severstal” Alexey Mordashov ($17.5 billion), Chairman of the Board of Directors of NLMK Vladimir Lisin ($16.1 billion), a shareholder of “NOVATEK” Gennady Timchenko ($16 billion) and the founder of USM Holdings Alisher Usmanov ($15.2 billion).

It is noted that the number of billionaires in the Russian rating has increased from 77 to 96 people. Their combined wealth grew by $100 billion to $460 billion.

“The main drivers of the growth of state of the richest Russian businessmen have become the strengthening of the ruble and favorable situation on the commodity markets,” says Forbes.

Earlier, Forbes published a ranking of the richest people in the world . In the first place in this ranking for the fourth consecutive year is bill gates with a fortune of $86 billion, the second – the owner of investment company Berkshire Hathaway Warren Buffett (us$75,6 billion), and in third place is Amazon founder Jeff Bezos with $72,8 billion.

The list of billionaires has entered a record 2043 entrepreneur, that’s 13% more than last year. The combined wealth of the participants in the Forbes rating of billionaires in 2017 amounted to $7,67 trillion, 18% more than the year before.
