Leopolis Jazz Fest-2018
Culture news: the Festival will bring together 170 artists from 16 countries.
From 27 June to 1 July 2018 will be held in Lviv VIII international jazz festival, the Jazz Fest (the successor to the Alfa Jazz Fest). Within 5 days, will feature more than 170 artists from 16 countries.
On the main stage name of Eddie Rosner in the Park B. Khmelnitsky by the legendary American jazz musician avant-garde saxophonist, flautist that embodies a century of jazz history — the Charles Lloyd ensemble with The Marvels. One of the leading fusion and jazz guitarists, Grammy award winner Lee Ritenour and American composer, arranger, producer, pianist and bandleader Dave Grusin, ten-time Grammy award winner, composer of over one hundred films will play in Lviv together with bassist Melvin Lee Davis and drummer Wes Ritenour.
A sensation Leopolis Jazz Fest will be the performance of a man who embodies the history and evolution of jazz, one of the greatest innovators of jazz — Ahmad Jamal.
Leopolis Jazz Fest this year will also present to the listeners a new star, singer, composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist, known ward producer Quincy Jones, Jacob Collier. By the way, the debut album of Jacob Collier In My Room received two Grammy.
Italian soul singer Mario Biondi, who continues the tradition of stars “Philadelphia soul” 70 years and is one of the brightest representatives of this genre in Europe, demonstrate in Lviv, a program consisting of already known songs and music from the new album Brasil.
At the same time on a public street scenes of the city — Rynok square and the area near the Potocki Palace will play dozens of the best jazz groups of our country and Europe.
