MOSCOW, April 7. /TASS/. The main coach of the Russian Luge albert Demchenko announced the completion of a career immediately after the Games-2014 in Sochi can return to the sport to qualify for his eighth Olympics. This he told TASS.

45-year-old Demchenko, whose assets there are three silver Olympic medals is a record for the number of participation in the Olympics among all the representatives of winter sports. From 1992 to 2014, he has not missed a single one. The first silver Demchenko won in 2006 in Turin, two more medals he put in his piggy Bank at the Olympics in Sochi (individual competitions and team race). At the end of Games-2014 Demchenko said resignation to coaching, and two years ago took the post of chief coach of the national team.

“I’m thinking about returning to sports, he confesses . – I left the sled after Sochi because of a back problem. But over the past three years I think I’ve recovered and I have no pain, I train. Health and wish to speak to me a lot, so why not try to come back and speak at her eighth Olympics?”

Demchenko noted that the final decision regarding his return after a thorough medical examination, which will take place in the coming days.

Olympic games 2018 will be held in South Korea’s Pyeongchang.
