The dictator has signed decree.

The evacuation of Belarusian citizens from foreign countries with a particularly tense situation to be provided by the airline “Belavia”. Evacuees will be required to reimburse the cost of their removal. The corresponding presidential decree published on the National legal Internet portal.

— The need for the adoption of the document due to the fact that due to the introduction of separate States of the emergency mode, the migration of the prohibitions and restrictions because of the spread of infection caused by a coronavirus СОVID-19, there were serious difficulties with the repatriation of citizens of Belarus, — said the press service of the dictator.

As spelled out in the decree, the means to ensure the evacuation of the airline “Belavia” will highlight the Ministry of Finance on the basis of the decision of the Council of Ministers.

— Evacuated citizens of the Republic of Belarus, their legal representatives (parents, adopters, guardians or Trustees) is required to compensate the budget that is spent executing evacuation flights.

If until December 31, 2020, this amount is not repaid, it will be asked “on the basis of Executive inscriptions of the notary”.

— To collect reimbursement amounts not required written acknowledgment by the citizen of his debt, — stated in the decree.

The document also allows diplomatic missions and consular posts of Belarus abroad to purchase commodities, food products, and to undertake other urgent expenses for compatriots who are in a difficult situation abroad, at the expense of the means provided on content of these diplomatic missions.

As announced on 16 April the Ministry of foreign Affairs, assistance in returning home have already given more than 6810 Belarusians. Now the Ministry is addressing the issue of repatriation of compatriots from India, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
