PARIS, April 30. /TASS/. Iran should never possess nuclear weapons, depends on the stability in the region and in the world. This was stated on Monday the President of France Emmanuel macron on his Twitter.

The French President posted a message on a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin and a brief video of the beginning of the conversation. “In connection with Vladimir Putin for a new joint discussion of the situation,” wrote macron. “Iran should never possess nuclear weapons, he said. – Depends on the stability in the region and international security”.

“We’re working on it, just as we should strive for a just peace in Syria,” said macron.

Previously, the Makron in the course of the visit in the USA reported that Paris believes it is necessary to work on a new, broader agreement on Iran’s nuclear program. According to him, the necessary agreement that would cover not only Tehran’s nuclear programme, and ballistic, as well as the stabilization of the situation in the region as a whole.

The five permanent members of the UN Security Council (Russia, Britain, China, USA and France) and Germany in July 2015 agreed with Iran a Joint comprehensive plan of action aimed at resolving the crisis around the nuclear program of Tehran. The agreement provides for the lifting of sanctions previously imposed against Iran by the UN security Council, the US and the EU.
