The Venezuelan leader made such a statement, speaking about the possibility of accepting assistance from the President of Colombia.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said he was willing to accept help in the fight against the spread of coronavirus from anyone, “even of the devil.” He said this on 18 April during a speech in the radio station AM 750, writes TASS.

“I would have taken the help of (Colombian President Ivan) Duque? I would take it even from the devil if it was beneficial for the health of the people (in Venezuela)”, − he stressed.

He also noted that the elections to the National Assembly (unicameral Parliament) to be held in 2020, can be postponed to a later date due COVID-19.

“I don’t know whether the (parliamentary) elections this year. Today it would be irresponsible of me to say that the elections will be held,” said the Venezuelan leader.

He added that this issue will be resolved by the Supreme court.
