The Minister of Finance of Ukraine Oksana Markarova sees merit in the introduction of the Minister of Finance in the Council of national security and defense Council (NSDC).

“Previous years the Finance Minister has not been introduced in the national security Council. President Zelensky added me to the Council. I believe this is very important – many of the issues that relate to security, affect macroeconomic or financial matters, so the participation of the Minister of Finance in these discussions is appropriate,” said Markarova in an interview with “Voice of America” during a visit to Washington.

At the moment, Markarova is part of the national security Council.
