MADRID, December 13. /TASS/. The Spanish economy could lose up to €12 billion as a result of the downturn in tourism due to the Catalan crisis. Such data has resulted on Wednesday La Razon, citing a report by research firm Reputation Institute.

According to the report, compared to March this year, the reputation of Spain among Europeans fell by 3.1 points in connection with the Catalan political conflict. In addition, six out of ten Europeans believe that the so-called Spanish brand has already suffered from the crisis in the region.

In this context, the real investment in Spain may be reduced to 1.95%. In addition, the rate of desire of foreign tourists to visit the Iberian Kingdom fell five points that can lead to the decrease of tourist flow by 15.3% in 2018, and the loss of up to €12 billion.
