Maritime rescue coordination centre (MSCC) Vladivostok announced that on Thursday, June 15, received information about the alleged seizure by the North Koreans Katalexa yacht in the sea of Japan.
This information, according to the representative mscz, “verified through the foreign Ministry”, reports TASS. It is noted that the yacht with the same name is not registered in the register of yacht clubs.
The Russian Embassy in the DPRK established an operational headquarters to verify information on the possible capture of coastal Katalexa yacht in the sea of Japan. This was reported by press Secretary of the Russian Embassy Denis Samsonov. “We monitor the situation and check the information about the possible capture of coastal boats,” he said .
The Embassy filed relevant requests to the Ministry of foreign Affairs and border authorities of the DPRK. “The situation looks to the General Consulate of the Russian Federation in Condene,” added Samsonov. Media Primorye, with reference to information Maritime rescue coordination centre said that the Russian yacht Katalexa in the sea of Japan on June 14 filed a distress signal. It allegedly seized a North Korean ship.
