MOSCOW, April 6. /TASS/. The candidate in presidents of France from the party “the Republicans” Francois Fillon was covered with flour on Thursday during a meeting with voters in the East of France. About it reports TV channel BFM TV.
The incident took place in Strasbourg . Fillon was going to speak to 2.5 million voters. When he walked on stage, welcomed by his supporters, a young man broke from the crowd with a bag of flour and showered her policy.
Reportedly, the man was wearing a shirt that says “Students Fillon” in order to pass to the rally.
The presidential candidate was forced to leave the room, but after 10 minutes returned to the scene. The assailant was arrested.
This is not the only incident with the presidential candidates in France. In December last year, former Prime Minister Manuel Valls, who planned to nominate his candidacy, too, was sprinkled with flour in Strasbourg.
In early March, the nearest rival Fillon at the election of Emmanuel Macron pelted with eggs during a visit to an agricultural exhibition in Paris.
A few months earlier during a trip to Montreuil the Makron had to deal with disgruntled French voters, who also pelted him with eggs
According to the latest polls, Fillon was among the three leaders in the upcoming presidential elections: for him ready to vote 20% of the electorate.
The leader of the party “national front” marine Le Pen will support 25% of the French, the founder of the non-partisan movement “On the March” Emmanuel macron of 24%.
Election of the President of France will be held in two rounds – on April 23 and may 7.
