MOSCOW, March 8. /TASS/. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree approving the “National strategy of actions in interests of women in the 2017-2022 years.” Relevant document published on the website of the Cabinet.

“The creation of conditions for full and equal participation of women in political, economic, social and cultural spheres of society is a priority of state policy of the Russian Federation”, – stated in the document.
As explained in the published reference to the document, the strategy will be implemented in two stages. From 2017 to 2018, includes the development of mechanisms of implementation of the strategy as well as analytical, legal and personnel maintenance of the state policy in the interests of women. In the second phase, scheduled for 2019-2022 years, it is planned to implement measures for the advancement of women in political, economic, social and cultural spheres.
Implementation of the strategy will be funded under existing government programs.
The draft strategy was submitted to the government by the Ministry of labour. Earlier in an interview with TASS Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets reported that the strategy contains measures aimed at a woman would be comfortable to build a career, combining motherhood and work life.
February 15 at a meeting of the leadership of the Federation Council with the Prime Minister, the speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko asked Medvedev to make a decent gift to all Russian women and approve March 8 developed by the Cabinet with the participation of senators strategy.
