In Luhansk region the police investigate the facts of abuse and embezzlement of budget funds by officials of one of managements of the Luhansk regional state administration during the repair of the bridge in the Village of Lugansk.

“On 19 December 2019 under the procedural management of Prosecutor’s office of Lugansk region conducted a number of searches during which the seized documents about the conduct of capital construction of the bridge over the river Severskiy Donets in Stanichno-Lugansk region”, – informs the press service of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

So, according to the investigation, officials of one of managements of the Luhansk regional state administration probably conspired with officials of several commercial structures with the aim of embezzlement of budget funds allocated for the repair of the infrastructure of the area.

“The investigation considers that the commercial entity with the assistance of subcontractor work on the overhaul of the bridge over the river Seversky Donets in Stanichno-Lugansk the area, the volume and value of which, according to the investigation, is significantly overestimated”, – is spoken in the message.

Militiamen established previously that officials had intended to assign budgetary funds for total amount over UAH 10 million.

Pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings on the preliminary legal qualification of part 2 of article 364 of the criminal code.

Conducted investigations, forensic examination to ascertain the extent of the damage.
