The stadium can accommodate 45 thousand spectators. The first test match at the stadium took place on April 28. It was attended by about 15 thousand people.

The world championship will be held from June 14 to July 15 in 11 cities of Russia. Samara will take six tournament matches: the group stage, Costa Rica – Serbia (17 June) Denmark – Australia (June 21), Uruguay – Russia (25 June), and Senegal – Colombia (June 28), as well as one game of the 1/8 finals and 1/4 finals.
