MOSCOW, March 28. /TASS/. Moscow higher military command and the Kazan tank school removed from the Combined arms Academy of the Armed forces of the Russian Federation and received the status of independent educational institutions. About it journalists were told by the commander of Land forces, Colonel-General Oleg saliukov.

“Schools became separate schools, and not branches of the Academy will have more opportunities to build the educational process, administrative activity. Need rigid centralization is no more”, – he said.

According to him, colleges will have more opportunities, upgraded training facilities.

Salyukov recalled that at the Moscow higher military command school has changed head. He was General-Lieutenant Victor Polyakov, who earlier headed the all-army Academy of armed forces in Moscow.

The chief of a branch of Combined arms Academy of the Armed forces in Kazan (the Kazan higher tank command school) appointed major General Kirill Kulakov. He previously held the position of commander of the 7th independent guards tank brigade of the Central military district (Kaunas).
