MOSCOW, April 19. /TASS/. Russian TV channels are willing to pay for the broadcast of the matches of the confederations Cup 2017 and world Cup 2018 the amount to be 15-20% higher than that which was given for the screening of the games of the 2014 world Cup in Brazil. The journalists said the Vice-Premier of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the organizing Committee “Russia-2018” Vitaly Mutko.

“Our channels are ready to pay the amount of 15-20 percent more than for rights to the world Cup in Brazil, no questions asked. But the price point is right up at times (than the price for the rights of the previous world championship), the channels will not be able to recoup their purchase. It’s a simple thing, all can be calculate, you just need to take 90 minutes of the match and the amount that can be earned during this time on advertising,” he said .

Earlier the First channel, VGTRK and “Match TV” did not agree to purchase telarah for the confederations Cup 2017 and the 2018 FIFA world Cup for $120 million, which requested the international football Federation (FIFA). For screening of the 2014 world Cup Russian TV channels have paid about $32 million.

The matches of the confederations Cup will be held in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan and Sochi from June 17-July 2. The world Cup games, which will be held from June 14 to July 15, 2018, will take 11 Russian cities.
