Mutko: the Executive Committee of the RFU will be held after the meeting of the presidential Council on sports in September

“Of course it [the combination] is extremely difficult, and, perhaps, such kind of sport like football, it is not necessary . The level of football in the country, we are only measuring the performances of the national team and clubs on the international stage. Meanwhile, the RFU is a huge household: three leagues, 83 regional federations, 10 interregional associations. Plus it’s women’s football, mini football, beach football, grassroots football, now took up cyberpatrol; in Russia regularly play football somewhere, 2.6 million people,” – said Mutko.

“Soccer is such a thing, which need to be addressed on an ongoing basis, to do big. The first person in this sport, as football should be exempt from other posts. Time, of course, a little, but I pay attention to football constantly. I believe that until the world Cup is a [combination] is reasonable,” – said the President of the RFU, who is also Chairman of the organizing Committee “Russia-2018”.

To the question what the situation will be after the world Cup, Mutko said: “I find it hard to think. I was appointed to the post of Deputy Prime Minister by the President. In 2018 there will be presidential elections, will have a new government. Now I would think didn’t need to think about how to properly prepare for the world championship.”
