MOSCOW, April 19. /TASS/. Statement of U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal that Russia should be deprived of the right to host world Cup in 2018, have nothing to do with sports. The journalists said the Vice-Premier of the Russian Federation Vitaly Mutko .
Previously, Blumenthal said he intends to write a letter to the International football Federation (FIFA) with the request to deprive Russia of the right to hold the world championship on football of 2018.
“This is a hopeless things. It is clear that the attack on Russia that are associated with politics will continue. It is clear that this has nothing to do with sports,” – said Mutko.
“You know that the issue of non-participation in the tournament the national federations, not discussed. In General, we are not worried. This process is irreversible,” – said Mutko.
World Cup matches will be held from 14 June to 15 July 2018 12 stadiums in 11 cities of Russia: Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Kazan, Sochi, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Samara, Saransk, Kaliningrad, Rostov-na-Donu and Volgograd.
