The head of Board NAK “Naftogaz Ukraine” Andrew KOBOLEV considers the possible signing of an agreement on management of gas transportation system (GTS) of Ukraine with foreign partners in the third quarter of 2018.
“We believe this (joint administration – if) you can start to do approximately the third quarter of 2018,” he said on air “channel 5” on Friday evening.
According to him, in February must be received the decision of the Stockholm arbitration on transit contract, and in March will become known to all interested in management of GTS of Ukraine international companies.
“We propose immediately to discuss the conditions of competition in the Verkhovna Rada, so she tentatively said Yes, those are the criteria that we are willing to take partner. According to these criteria to hold a contest for 3-4 months to August to September to finally sign the papers so who will win the competition”, – he explained.
A . KOBOLEV also said that in addition to Snam (Italy)/Eustream (Slovakia) and Gasunie (Netherlands)/ GRTgaz (France), which signed memoranda of interest to the management of the GTS of Ukraine also expressed in the “German group”.
As reported, according to the head of “Naftogaz”, Ukraine has to come out with specific proposal to bring European partners to manage its gas transportation system at the beginning of 2018. Delaying the involvement of international partner will result in the loss of Russian gas transit through the territory of the country, with annual revenues of approximately $3 billion.
Throughput of Ukraine’s GTS at the entrance is 288 billion cubic meters at the exit – 178,5 billion cubic meters, including to European countries – 142,5 billion cubic meters, Moldova – 3.5 billion cubic meters.
“Naftogaz Ukraine” unites the largest oil and gas enterprises of the country. The holding is a monopolist on transit and storage of natural gas in underground storage, and oil transportation by pipeline transport through the territory of the country.
