The national Bank of Ukraine initiates sanctions against the subsidiary of the Russian Sberbank in Ukraine. About it reports a press-service of the NBU.
“In response to information about the readiness of Sberbank (Russian Federation) to provide services for persons who are holders of passports of the unrecognized “DNR” and “LNR”, which is distributed to the media, the national Bank of Ukraine reports the following. In the case of confirmation of this information, the NBU will initiate to the national security Council the question of the application of sanctions to subsidiary Bank Sberbank of Russia in Ukraine – JSC “Sberbank”, – stated in the message.
In NBU reminded that in accordance with article 5 of the law of Ukraine “On sanctions”, the decision to apply sanctions against individual entities are taken to the national security Council and enforced by the decree of the President of Ukraine .

As reported on 18 February, Russia recognized the validity of the identity documents issued by the so-called power of “DNR” and “LNR”. The corresponding decree signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin posted on the website of the Russian President. It is noted that on the basis of documents issued by the “DNR” and “LNR”, are allowed entry to Russia.
Soon also in Belarus said they will selectively allow the entry of residents of Donbass documents “LDNR”.
It was also reported that Sberbank Rossii on March 7 began to provide services in their offices for clients, providing a “passport” so-called “DNR” and “LNR”.
