The national Commission, carrying out state regulation in spheres of power and utilities (NKREKU), proposes to January 1, 2018 increase the average tariff of PJSC “Ukrhydroenergo” by 19.6% from the current 65.6 per COP. to 78,45 kopecks/kWh (without VAT).

Discussion of draft decisions on tariffs and investment program UGE for 2018 was held at the Commission meeting in Kyiv on Thursday.

According to the procedure, then within 20 days the national Commission will accept comments and suggestions to the draft decisions, followed by open discussion. Approval of tariffs and investment programs for the year 2018 to be held in late November.

Thus, according to the published on the website NKREKU materials, in particular, the Commission proposes to establish the average tariff for PSPs of the company for the year 2018 in the amount of 291,48 kopecks/kWh, HPP – 32,13 kopecks/kWh .

At the same time “Ukrhydroenergo” proposes to increase the average tariff of the company on 55,9% to 102,26 kopecks/kWh (for PSP – 469,43 kopecks/kWh, HPP – 41,22 kopecks/kWh).

In addition, the national Commission proposes to approve the investment program of UGE in 2018 in the amount of 3 billion 261,22 million UAH without VAT (for HPP in the amount of 1,696 billion, for PSP – 1,565 billion UAH).

The expected useful supply hydroelectric company in 2018 is projected at 7 billion 435,7 million kWh, PSP – 1 billion is 616.7 million kWh.

“Ukrhydroenergo” operates all major hydropower plants located in the Ukrainian sections of the Dnipro and Dniester. The total installed electric capacity of hydroelectric power generating companies is 5744,8 MW. The state represented by the Ministry of energy and mines holds a 100% stake in the company.

The national Commission responsible for state regulation of activity of subjects of natural monopolies in the electricity, heat supply, oil and gas sector, centralized water supply and drainage, recycling and disposal of waste as well as ensures the implementation of price and tariff policy in these spheres.
