Business news: Odessa aviation plant, together with the United States and the Czech Republic started an international project for the production of aircraft.

SE “Odessa aircraft plant” together with the American company Aviastar Invest Corp and DISTAR CZ a.s. from the Czech Republic have reached agreement about the beginning of cooperation in the development and production of aircraft in Ukraine. About it reports a press-service of the state concern “Ukroboronprom”, which includes “Odessa aviation plant”.

“International cooperation in the field of aviation is the basis for the development of Ukrainian airlines. Ukraine is one of the few countries in the world that can create planes, and our goal is to unite Ukrainian engineering and production capacity with modern Western avionics . This will allow effective integration of Ukrainian aircraft manufacturing into the global system”, – said Deputy General Director of SC “Ukroboronprom” on aircraft construction Alexander Pashchenko, commenting on the agreement.

In addition, the company agreed to establish the international Regional service center for the repair and overhaul of aircraft and helicopters, as well as the introduction of a number of procedures and processes in the context of the training of cadets and pilots of existing programs of NATO.

As reported, during the international Airshow Farnborough Airshow-2018 was signed the General agreement between SE “Antonov”, which is part of Ukroboronprom, and Aviall Services, Inc., a division of the Boeing company. The agreement allows for close cooperation in the production of the upgraded aircraft An-148, An-158, An-178, a family which will be designated the an-1X8 NEXT.
