MOSCOW, 3 may 2017 /Press service of the forum/. A new passenger terminal of international airport “Simferopol” claims to be the largest airport in Russia. All work on the construction of a new terminal are carried out in accordance with the schedule confirmed in the press service of the airport.

The construction of a new terminal complex of the international airport “Simferopol” is scheduled for completion by 2018 (implementation of the investment project began in may 2016).

After the commissioning of the new terminal building area of 78 thousand square meters, the airport’s capacity will increase to 3650 passengers per hour, and for the whole year, the airport will be able to serve 6 .5 million passengers (expandable to 10 million passengers per year).

In addition to throughput, improve comfort in passenger service that becomes possible through the emergence of 55 check-in counters, eight movable boarding bridges, eight exits to the apron buses, 16 escalators and 28 elevators.

The new airport will be able to serve all types of aircraft that operate on the territory of Russia, including Boeing 747-400, Boeing 777-300, Airbus A330 and other wide-body aircraft.

Experts note that the construction of the new airport complex in Simferopol will be a unique building for Russia could be on a par with leading airports around the world.
