Parubiy: “Nord stream-2” threatens energy security of Ukraine and the EU
The Russian project “Northern stream-2” can jeopardize the energy security of European countries.
This was stated by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy during the SECOND Forum of local development in Truskavets, reports Еспресо.TV.
He noted that during his meeting with the speaker of the U.S. house of representatives Paul Ryan expressed the belief that skraplania the gas market will be much cheaper than that used today.

As reported, the project “Northern stream – 2” (Nord Stream 2) involves the construction of two pipelines from the coast of Russia through the Baltic sea to Germany. The overall throughput is planned at 55 billion cubic meters per year.
For the implementation of the project, the Nord Stream 2 AF, which in April signed agreements on the financing of the project with Shell (UK – Netherlands), OMV (Austria), Engie (France), Uniper and Wintershall (both from Germany). In June, the partners enrolled in the company’s accounts more than a billion euros. It is planned that the pipeline will earn in 2019.
Earlier, the Republican majority of the house of representatives stopped a vote on sanctions against Russia, which was approved by the Senate. A separate item in the document spelled out the intention of the US to “resist the construction of the pipeline “Nord stream – 2”.
