TASS-FILE. 7 may 2018 took place the inauguration of the elected President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. In connection with its inauguration, the government of the Russian Federation headed by Dmitry Medvedev, adds his powers. This requirement is contained in the Federal constitutional law “About the government of the Russian Federation” of December 17, 1997.
Dmitry Medvedev’s Cabinet was formed in may 2012 after the inauguration of the elected President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. On 7 may, the day of his inauguration, the President submitted to the state Duma Medvedev’s candidacy for appointment to the post of Prime Minister. 8 may the lower chamber of Parliament has supported this view (for – 299 of 450 deputies, against – 144), following signing of corresponding presidential decree . May 21, approved the structure of the government, which included seven Deputy Prime Ministers and 20 Ministers.
In the next six years, was replaced by the leaders of seven ministries, three new ministries and eliminated two established two new posts of Vice-premiers. As a result, as of may 7, 2018 in the structure of the Cabinet consisted of nine Deputy Prime Ministers and 21 Ministers.

8 may 2013 Deputy Chairman of RF government – chief of RF government staff Vladislav Surkov has been relieved of his duties at his own request. On 20 September of the same year he went to work in the presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, where he became assistant to the head of state Vladimir Putin.

On the same day the new Deputy Prime Minister supervising questions of physical culture, sport, tourism and youth policy, was appointed by the former Minister of sport Vitaly Mutko. August 31, 2013 was dismissed Viktor Ishayev, Minister for development of the Far East – Plenipotentiary representative of RF President in the far Eastern Federal district. The new head of the Agency of 11 September 2013, was appointed co-Chairman of the Central headquarters of the popular front, former President of “Business Russia” Alexander Galushka.
1 Nov 2013 the decree of the President of the Federal Agency for construction, housing and public utilities was reorganized into the Ministry of the same name. His head was appointed Governor of the Ivanovo region Mikhail Men.
March 31, 2014 for integration of the Republic of Crimea and city of Sevastopol into the Russian Federation was created the Ministry of the Russian Federation of Crimean Affairs. 19 August 2016 was dismissed Dmitry Livanov, Minister of education and science of the Russian Federation. Livanov became the special representative of the President on trade-economic relations with Ukraine.
