The President of Poland Andrzej Duda on the page of the presidency on Twitter said that Poland hard work achieved non-permanent membership in the UN security Council.
“Poland in the UN Security Council! It is a huge success, which was preceded by hard work in the international arena. I am grateful to the government and diplomats for supporting me in this effort,” he wrote.
Provisional members of the UN Security Council was also elected Peru, Kuwait, côte d’ivoire and Equatorial Guinea. Non-permanent membership of selected countries in the UN will begin on 1 January 2018 and will last 2 years .
