As of Monday afternoon police have identified the identity of six of the nine victims of the fire at the Odessa hotel “Tokyo Star”, occurred in the night from 16 to 17 August.

“Two of them – inhabitants of Odessa region (the guy born in 2002, and a girl born 2001), two Kiev (мужчина1995 G. R. and woman 1996), 58-year-old resident of Dnipropetrovsk and 73 – year-old Australian. The measures for identification of persons of three more victims, including one child, continue”, – stated in the message, opublikowano on the website of the regional Central Directorate of police after a Monday afternoon.

The Ministry also added that the results of forensic medical examination the cause of death of all the victims – poisoning with burning products.

“So of all the nominated priority versions of what happened remains a working version of the violation established by the legislation of fire safety requirements (article 270 of the criminal code – if).”, – added the police.

As reported, in Odessa in the night of August 17, there was a fire in hotel “Old Tokyo” by vul, 1 which killed nine people (eight people died on the spot, one in the car “first aid”), 10 people were injured.

Among the victims – two foreigners and a child.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman instructed to immediately begin large-scale inspections of places of recreation of citizens, especially hotels and resorts.

August 18, police detained the owner of the hotel “Old Tokyo” Vadim Black. He was notified of the suspicion under part 2 of article 270 of the criminal code, on Monday he needs to choose a measure of restraint.

Part 2 of article 270 UK of Ukraine – Violation of established by legislation requirements of fire safety, the entailed occurrence of a fire, which caused loss of life, property damage in especially large size or other grave consequences, – shall be punishable by deprivation of liberty for a term of three to eight years.
