LONDON, 7 Aug. /TASS/. Anita Wlodarczyk of Poland won the gold medal at the world Championships in athletics in the hammer throw. The competition is held in London.

The athlete threw the projectile 77,90 meters. Second place went to the Chinese Zheng Wang (75,98). Third was another representative of Poland Malvina Capron (74,76).

Wlodarczyk became a three-time world champion, she previously won in the world Championships 2009 and the world Cup 2015. Wlodarczyk is a two-time Olympic champion (2012, 2016) and holds the world record (82,98).

World Championships in athletics will end on August 13.
