U.S. Secretary of state Mike Pompeo on Sunday promised that Washington will impose new sanctions against Tehran to ensure its isolation in response to “the expansion of the nuclear program.”

“The further expansion of Iran’s nuclear programme will lead to further isolation and sanctions,” he wrote on Twitter.
