American efforts abrupt discontinuation malicious actions of Iran will continue.

Mike Pompeo, Secretary of state of the United States, said Sunday, June 2, that the American authorities are ready “to sit at the table” negotiations with representatives of Iran and “without preconditions.” However, the Secretary of state immediately voiced one of them.

“We are ready (…) to enter into negotiations without preconditions, we are ready to sit” at the table (the Iranian authorities), said Pompeo, quoted by Reuters, reports RFI. The announcement was made at a joint press conference with Minister of foreign Affairs of Switzerland in the Swiss city of Bellinzona.

While Pompeo has called at least one condition for starting negotiations between Washington and Tehran. “We are of course prepared to hold this dialogue, when Iranians will be able to prove that you want to behave like a normal nation”, — said the head of the diplomatic Department of the United States. And added that “American efforts abrupt cessation of malicious acts of the Islamic Republic (of Iran)” “will continue,” AFP reported.

The Agency notes that “so clear” statement by the representative of the American authorities about readiness to negotiate with Iran — the first in may 2018, when President Donald trump made the decision on the U.S. withdrawal from the so-called “Iranian nuclear deal”. The deal (its official name is the Joint comprehensive plan of action of SVPD) was concluded in the summer of 2015 between Tehran and the six mediator countries (Russia, USA, UK, China, France, Germany).
