The Kishinev company “Twins Estate S. R. L.” announced that it had acquired a stake in one of the largest shopping centers of Chisinau JSC “Gemenii S. A.” (former Department store “Children’s world”), which, according to media reports, was owned by the outgoing President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

On Tuesday, the “Twins Estate S. R. L.” issued a press release stating that it had acquired a majority stake in the former “Children’s world” in Chisinau. According to a press release, the agreement on the sale late last week approved by the competition Council and entered into force.

If the buyer does not report the details of the transaction, the transaction amount and seller’s name.

It is reported that the shopping center “Gemenii S. A.” will continue work in a usual mode, and the new owner plans to upgrade the centre in accordance with the needs of modern market. The owner also promises to save the current brand of “Gemenii”, “recognizable all over Moldova.“

The company “Twins Estate S. R. L.” included in the group of companies “Rogob” company, specializing in retail trade of meat and meat products. Two years ago, the company “Rogop” also bought shop “Unic” – the former Central Department store in Chisinau.

Moldovan media wrote that the company “Rogop” through third parties belongs to the leader of the Democratic party and the head of the Moldovan oligarch Vlad Plahotniuc. In Moldova, it also considers it important business partner of Petro Poroshenko.
