Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has congratulated Ukrainian diplomacy with the successful completion of the presidency of the UN Security Council.

The President wrote on the page in Facebook, reports “Russian conversation”.

Ukraine has held the chairmanship in the UN security Council in February.

“At the initiative of Ukraine managed more actively involve the UN Security Council to address the challenges to peace and security on the Eu ropean continent… the UN Security Council adopted the resolution on Ukraine to the protection of critical infrastructure from terrorist attacks”, – he stressed.

In his opinion, within the framework of the security Council of Ukraine were able to consolidate large support in maintaining the key principles of international law.

Earlier it was reported that Poroshenko has made a new statement on bezveze between Ukraine and the EU.

It was also noted that Poroshenko expressed his attitude to the idea to abandon the Donbass. According to him, Ukrainians will understand in this matter.
