The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed a decree on ensuring citizens ‘ right to visa-free travel to the EU. He stated this during the opening of the Istanbul Park in Odessa, which was broadcast channel “112 Ukraine”.

“It so happened my schedule that it is here in Odessa, I have to sign a decree on additional measures to ensure smooth implementation by citizens of Ukraine the right to visa-free travel to the EU. I now will sign the decree, which clearly marked who, what still needs to be done, so nobody had any obstacles along the way,” he said.

Recall that on 17 may in Strasbourg was held the signing ceremony legislative decisions on the introduction of the EU visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens. It will enter into force on 11 June .

The abolition of visas for all Schengen countries except Ireland and the UK. In addition, the Ukrainians will be able to visit four countries outside the EU: Iceland, Norway, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
