MOSCOW, March 10. /TASS/. Russian boxer Alexander Povetkin excluded from the rating of the European Boxing Council (EBU) pending investigation on suspicion of doping. About TASS reported the press service of the EBU.
“At this point, Povetkin is outside the rating of the EBU, because it is under investigation,” – said the Agency interlocutor.

Earlier, the world Boxing Council (WBC) has suspended 37-year-old Povetkin from matches under the auspices of the organization for an indefinite period and fined him $250 thousand. WBC will consider lifting the suspension if the results of any tests taken within the individual Protocol of the Association for voluntary doping tests will be negative. Povetkin is the Olympic champion of 2004. In the pros he became an advocate in 2005, since after 32 fights (31 wins, one defeat).
