The Prosecutor General’s office of Ukraine started criminal proceedings on the fact of illegal intervention in activity of judges of District administrative court of Kyiv (OASC) employees of the Prosecutor General and National anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) in the course of the search in court premises in July 26-27.
“By results of consideration of statements of judges of District administrative court of Kyiv the Prosecutor General of Ukraine on 2 August 2019 initiated pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings on the fact of possible occurrence of unlawful interference in the activity of judges OASC staff of the office of special investigations of the GPU and NABOO during the search in the premises of the court on July 26-27, 2019”, – stated in the message on the website OASC Monday.
The court also informed that the relevant appeal judges OASC also sent to the High Council of justice (SCJ) at the end of July.
“To date, however, the response of VSP relative to the consideration of the matter, the court did not arrive”, – is told in the message.
As reported, on 26 July, the head of the office of special investigations of the Prosecutor General Sergei Gorbatyuk said that the Prosecutor’s office within investigation of criminal proceedings on the Maidan prepared suspicious transaction reports to two supervisors and two judges OASC on the facts of interference in the activities of the High qualification Commission of judges (vkks) and the organization for making a knowingly unjust decisions. According to investigators, in manual mode, the decisions of dismissal of certain members of the CCG and the appointment of others, despite the fact that “allegedly organized competitions”.
On 26 July, the detectives NAB and staff from the office of special investigations of the Prosecutor General began the searches in the premises of OASC.
In turn, the District administrative court of Kyiv declared blocking his work from the NAB and the Prosecutor General’s office employees who “exercise gross undue interference in the work of the District administrative court of Kiev conducted searches in the offices of judges, offices, other premises, the seizure of equipment and documents, which makes it impossible for court sessions, receiving and registration of incoming documents from court visitors”.
On 2 August the head of the District administrative court of Kyiv (OASC) Paul, Vovka, and judges OASC Igor of Pogrebnichko and Eugene Ablove and the judge of Suvorovsky district court of Odessa Ivan Shepitko was handed a notification on suspicion of interference in the activities of the CCG and other possible crimes.
