On Tuesday, may 21, a telephone conversation of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron and a German government led by Angela Merkel, reports “Russian conversation”, citing a statement published on the Kremlin website.

The report said that the two leaders discussed the conflict in Ukraine, given the disastrous policy of the former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. The parties agreed that the implementation of the Minsk agreements is the only way to resolve the crisis through political and diplomatic means.

The Russian President recalled that the Kiev authorities should give special status individual regions of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, to dissolve the forces and means on the contact line of the conflicting parties, as well as for an Amnesty. In addition, Kiev is obliged to establish a direct dialogue with the Donbas.

During the meeting they also discussed the discriminatory law of the Verkhovna Rada about the exclusivity of the Ukrainian language. Expressed bewilderment concerning the decision of several countries to boycott the discussion at the meeting of the UN Security Council. The above-mentioned law is contrary to the Ukrainian Constitution, the Minsk agreement, and Ukraine’s international commitments for the protection of national and linguistic minorities.

In addition to the situation in Ukraine addressed the Syrian issue, including numerous violations of the ceasefire by radical militias.

The Russian leader said the sides had been taken, together with the Turkish side steps to stabilize the situation in the North-Western part of the Syrian Arab Republic. Special attention is paid to the formation of the constitutional Committee.

Not spared the leaders of the party and the subject of the deal on the Iranian nuclear program, stressing the importance of maintaining this document.

The interlocutors also spoke in favor of the settlement of the situation in the Council of Europe resulting from the unlawful deprivation of the Russian delegation of its powers.

We will remind, the Kremlin responded to the question of whether Vladimir Putin to congratulate Vladimir Zelensky inauguration.
