MOSCOW, July 25. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin before flying to South Africa held Wednesday the regular meeting with the permanent members of the security Council of the Russian Federation. This was reported by the press service of the Kremlin .
“The meeting discussed the issues related to open July 26 at the Johannesburg summit of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) and the forthcoming on the margins of the international contacts of the President”, – explained the press service.
“Were also touched upon topical issues of Russian domestic socio-economic agenda,” – said in the Kremlin.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, speakers of both chambers of Parliament Valentina Matvienko, Vyacheslav Volodin, the head of the Kremlin administration Anton Vaino, security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, defense Ministers Sergei Shoigu and foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov, head of the FSB Alexander Bortnikov and SVR Sergey Naryshkin.
It is planned that Putin will arrive in South Africa on Thursday morning. The summit will last two days.
