Putin officially registered as a presidential candidate
The current President of Russia has registered for the elections, the Russian Central election Commission, issuing the corresponding document his authorized representative.
The Russian Central election Commission registered Vladimir Putin as a presidential candidate in the country. This was in vtornik, February 6, reports RIA Novosti.
The identity of the candidate gave the Trustee of Putin, Sergei Kabyshev. He promised today to give the document to the current President of the Russian Federation.
We will remind, Putin goes on elections as the independent candidate. For registration he had to collect not less than three hundred thousand signatures of voters. The CEC passed more than 314 thousand signatures, the Commission found only 232 signatures, does not meet the requirements (record low number of invalid signatures) .
Earlier, the Russian CEC registered two candidates – the leader of LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky and non-partisan nominee from the Communist party Pavel Grudinina. They are nominated by the parliamentary parties, so check they do not have to collect signatures. Five other candidates – Ksenia Sobchak, Maxim suraykin, Grigory Yavlinsky, Sergei Baburin and Boris Titov – waiting for registration.
Presidential elections will be held on 18 March, the anniversary of the annexation of the Crimea.
The foreign Ministry of Ukraine has said that the results of future elections of the President of Russia will be questionable from the point of view of legitimacy.
