“The expected period of payment of pension applicable from the calculation of its size in 2018 is set for a period of 246 months”, – stated in the message.

It is noted that the law will come into force on 1 January 2018.

In 2017, the expected period of payment of the funded part of the pension was determined with a duration of 240 months.

As previously reported, the Ministry of labour has proposed increasing the period “with the aim of gradually bringing established annually by the law expected period of payment of pension to close to the real values of life expectancy, future recipient of pension” .

The new methodology will apply only to those who will be granted a pension in 2018. The indicator “expected period” is used only in the calculation of the pension.
