MOSCOW, July 19. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the Federal law extending the simplified procedure of entry to Russia for an electronic visa at all airports in the Far East.

The programme of issuing e-visas is available from 1 August 2017. Now foreigners can come on this visa in Primorsky Krai, Kamchatka and Sakhalin. As explained on the eve of consideration of the law in the Federation Council, state Secretary – Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation on development of Far East of Pavel Volkov, we are talking about 12 checkpoints, only one of which is the airport and the rest by road, rail and sea points .

The new law gives the opportunity to enter the Russian Federation on electronic visas through all the airports of the Far East. The exact list of airports in the far Eastern Federal district (DFO) will determine the government of the Russian Federation. Currently on the territory of this County, has nine airports.

According to the data of Volkov, from August 2017 were issued 23.5 thousand e-visas. According to him, mainly so vyazhut to Russia of citizens of China and Japan. The Ministry expects that after joining this program, airports in the influx of tourists will increase manifold.

The law will enter into force 30 days after official publication.
