A group of deputies proposed that the Parliament adopt a law on the legal status and social guarantees of persons unlawfully deprived of their liberty are held hostage, or been convicted in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and abroad.

According to the posted Tuesday on the website of the Ukrainian Parliament, the project of the corresponding law (No. 8205) was initiated by the head of the human rights Committee Hryhoriy Nemyria and a group of deputies, among which the first Vice-speaker Irina Gerashchenko, the President’s representative in the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Lutsenko, the head of the faction “people’s front” Maxim Bourbaki and the head of fraction “Radical party” Oleg Lyashko.
