MONTREAL /Canada/, may 19. /Spec. Q. TASS Oleg Koshelev, Daniel Studnev/. The absence of Russian anti-doping Agency (RUSADA) among members of the world anti-doping Agency (WADA ) should not be the reason that Russian athletes can’t participate in the winter Olympic games 2018 in Pyeongchang. This opinion TASS expressed by the President of WADA Craig reedy.

In Montreal on Thursday held a Council of founders WADA, during which was heard the report of the Commission of the organization for the compliance on the implementation of the roadmap for the restoration of RUSADA. During his speech, the Deputy Director-General of the Rob Koehler voiced the position of an organization that demonstrates some of the progress of RUSADA, however for full recovery you must fulfill a number of conditions.

“We want to RUSADA conducted doping tests for Russian athletes, but it also will the structure of the WADA. We want all the athletes at the Olympic games in Pyeongchang was “clean”. The fact that the journalist is not part of WADA, should not be the reason that the Russian athletes can’t participate in the Games,” said reedy.

Among these conditions is the opening of access to the data in biological passports of athletes and the so-called closed cities, the introduction of rules to eliminate the conflict of interests and independence of the head of the Supervisory Board of RUSADA and his Deputy.
