However, he noted that those citizens of Ukraine who receive such passports, the risk of losing the citizenship of Ukraine. “The Constitution of Ukraine says that Ukrainians should have only one citizenship – the citizenship of Ukraine, so the people who will receive or receive the citizen of the Russian Federation can lose the citizenship of Ukraine”, – said Yuri Grymchak in comments to “5 channel”.

According to him, the issuance of Russian passports to residents of the Ukrainian Donbass will lead to the fact that Russia in the future will have reason to claim that protects in the East of Ukraine of its citizens. As reported, on April 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree “On establishment for humanitarian purposes of the categories of persons entitled to submit applications for admission to Russian citizenship in a simplified order”.
