The recognition by the International court of justice in the Hague complaint on the case of Ukraine against the Russian Federation in breach of the Convention for the suppression of the financing of terrorism does not prejudge the outcome of the case, according to the Russian Dialogue, citing a statement published on the website of the foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation.
The foreign Ministry stressed, the court in the Hague rejected the claim of Kiev, according to which Moscow should be held responsible as a “state sponsoring terrorism in Ukraine”. Thus, the court upheld not all wishes of the Ukrainian side.
The Ministry focused the attention of the public that the actual Ukrainian accusations have not been assessed by the court at this stage.
The Russian side expects that when the court of justice will begin to consider the dispute between Kiev and Moscow on the merits, the arguments of Russia will be considered in full, and claims Ukraine will remain unsatisfied.
We will remind, on the eve of the international court of justice ruled that the claim of Ukraine, trying to prove that the Russian Federation violated the international Convention on the suppression of the financing of terrorism and the elimination of racial discrimination, falls under the jurisdiction of the Institute. The court rejected the objection of Moscow, which believes that the claim of the Ukrainian side could not be examined due to the lack of jurisdiction of the International court of justice in the case.
