MOSCOW, March 16. /TASS/. Moscow is ready to study the proposals of Tokyo on joint economic activities on southern Kuriles, but any projects must not contradict the legislation of the Russian Federation.

This was stated by the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.

According to the diplomat, March 18, in Tokyo held the first round of Russian-Japanese talks at the level of Deputy foreign Ministers on the establishment of joint economic activities on southern Kuriles, the Russian foreign Ministry forms for this event package of proposals aimed at joint implementation of projects in various practice areas.

“Of course, we believe that such projects can be implemented only on condition of not contradicting the Russian legislation, – the diplomat said. – Be willing to learn and appropriate Japanese sentences” .
