Alexander Kokorin in Rome underwent surgery after a cruciate ligament injury received in the return match 1/8 finals of UEFA Europa League against the “Leipzig”. Within the next month, he will undergo rehabilitation in Italy. Recovery time 26-year-old footballer is estimated at 4-5 months. With high probability Kokorin will miss the world Championships to be held in June-July in Russia.

Kokorin is injured in the second minute of the match against Leipzig (1:1). He broke the rules against the captain of the German team, Willi Orban, however, as a result of collision, landed badly and injured his knee, losing his footing . Kokorin was able to hold on to the box for a few more minutes, then asked for a replacement — he was replaced by Anton Zabolotny.
