The transition period may end before the end of this year.

The Russian government has approved a draft agreement with breakaway South Ossetia on the order of occurrence of the number of units of the Armed forces of the Russian Federation.

The corresponding decree №271 published on the official Internet portal of legal information of the Russian Federation.

“To approve presented by the Ministry of defence of the Russian Federation agreed with the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and other interested Federal bodies of Executive power and previously worked with the South Ossetian side a draft agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia on the order of occurrence of the individual units of the armed forces of the Republic of South Ossetia in structure of the armed forces”, – the document says .

The document stipulates that within three months from the date of entry into force will be developed by new staff personnel documentation of the armed forces of South Ossetia, which will be agreed with the Russian side and approved the “commander in chief” of the army of the “Republic”.

Full transition to the new organizational structure must be completed within six months after it is approved by staff personnel documentation.

For the document’s entry into force, it must be signed by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
